Scratch Day

You are invited to attend a Scratch Day on Sunday December 11, 2011 The Packer Collegiate Institute 170 Joralemon Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201
Scratch is a programming language developed by MIT. http://scratch.mit.edu/ and is taught to all 6th graders at Packer. Scratch Day in New York City is a gathering where people of all ages will come together to meet other Scratchers, share projects and experiences, and learn more about Scratch.
The activities will begin at 8:30am and continue until 4pm. We are in the process of creating a schedule based on the proposals submitted for workshops, presentations, or discussions. There will be workshops and presentations geared to both experienced Scratch users and novices; teachers, parents, and students of all ages. What to bring: *Flash drives for sharing work with others *Computers *Younger kids who are using Scratch or interested in learning about Scratch * Families * Enthusiasm!
