Scratch is a programming language developed by MIT. http://scratch.mit.edu/ and is taught to all 6th graders at Packer.
Scratch Day in New York City is a gathering where people of all ages will come together to meet other Scratchers, share projects and experiences, and learn more about Scratch.
The activities will begin at 8:30am and continue until 4pm. We are in the process of creating a schedule based on the proposals submitted for workshops, presentations, or discussions. There will be workshops and presentations geared to both experienced Scratch users and novices; teachers, parents, and students of all ages.
What to bring:
*Flash drives for sharing work with others
*Younger kids who are using Scratch or interested in learning about Scratch
For more information about the day and to download a poster please go to http://scratch.wiki.packer.edu/. This Wiki will be updated as we confirm proposals and schedules for the day.
