Profile

The mission of Cornelia Connelly Center (CCC) is to champion girls at risk, empowering them to realize their full potential from middle school through college and beyond. Partnering with each student and her family, the Center offers a thirteen-year program to girls living in poverty, from 4th grade through college completion.

Students begin their journey at CCC in Connelly Middle School, our challenging, joyful middle school that fosters skills, resilience and compassion. The Lower School (grades 4 and 5) uses an acceleration model to bring students to grade level and prepare them for future academic success. Our Upper School (grades 6, 7, and 8) is grounded in coursework that is delivered on grade-level to ensure our students preparedness for high school.

Our innovative, holistic Graduate Support Program provides emotional, financial, and academic guidance to our alumnae in both high school and college supporting their college aspirations and completion.  For our alumnae in high school, GSP offers daily study halls and one-on-one tutoring, SAT prep courses, social-emotional support, college visits and college admissions counseling.  For our alumnae in college, GSP 2.0 provides the concrete and emotional resources our alumnae need to transition to and thrive in college.
