Dwight School is seeking a Middle and Upper School Music Teacher for the 2017-2018 academic year.

The ideal candidate would meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary (grades 6-12) Instrumental and/or Vocal Music Education required (both instrumental and vocal preferred)
  • Master’s Degree in Secondary (grades 6-12) Instrumental and/or Vocal Music Education strongly recommended (both instrumental and vocal preferred)
  • Experience with music technology integration in a Music class strongly recommended
  • At least two years’ prior teaching experience in a Middle and/or Upper School setting
  • A record of success teaching to a range of learners
  • Experience with International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program and Diploma Program preferred, but not required
  • Experience with developing and maintaining an after-school music conservatory (private lessons) preferred, but not required
  • Experience with organizing and executing full school musical performances preferred, but not required
  • Experience in conducting and developing vocal/instrumental ensembles
