Addressing Gender Expression, Sexuality and Family Diversity in Pre-K, Elementary and Middle School: Part 2
Date: Tuesday - March 06, 2007
Time: 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM
This program continues our exploration of ways to better understand and address the needs of children who express their gender in non-stereotypical ways, the needs of pre-adolescent students who are beginning to contend with their emerging sexual identities, and the particular needs of gay and lesbian families. The focus will continue to be on using developmentally appropriate language and concepts, and pedagogically relevant frameworks to engage students, faculty, administrators, parents and trustees in addressing the role of gender and sexuality in the pre-K, elementary and middle school setting.
There will be an opportunity for specific case consultation during this session. If you have a situation that could be used as a case scenario or role play, please e-mail that information to Dr. Bryan in advance of the workshop. If you bring case material directly to the workshop, please provide a brief written description of the situation and questions involved. jbryan@jenniferbryanphd.com
Part 1 of this series is on Tuesday, October 24, 2006. Participants may attend either, but are encouraged to attend both.
