A private special education school in New York City,the Cooke School and Institue provides a continuum of education for students ages 5 through 21 with mild-to-moderate cognitive or developmental disabilities and severe language-based learning disabilities. From New York State Common Core Standards-based academics, to arts and sports programs, to real-world internships, Cooke students learn every day how to tackle life's challenges and find their place in the world.
Cooke Grammar School - Located on Manhattan’s Lower East Side, the Grammar School serves students from Kindergarten through 8th grade. The Grammar School is located at 219 Stanton Street.
Cooke Academy - With two locations—in Manhattan’s SoHo and Chelsea neighborhoods— the Academy serves students ages 14 through 21. Our Academy 9-12 program is located at 60 MacDougal Street. Our Academy program for students needing additional preparation for graduation is at 254 West 29th Street.
Cooke Summer Academy - A summer program for ages 5 through 21, designed to reinforce the academic and social skills that were developed in classrooms during the school year.

The Institue provides a wide range of professional development services including coaching, workshops and webinars. Topics include but are not limited to teaching of ELA, child development, differentiation for inclusion, and Transition.
