A version of this presentation was scheduled during the Global Language Conference at Mohonk Mountain House.

This presentation aims to explore methods of how to create virtual learning environments that capture student interest while keeping learning meaningful during this challenging time. \

The session will also explore recent scientific research on adolescent brain development to understand how learning takes place in the brain. Teachers will have an opportunity to share out their most successful strategies currently in place.

Participants will leave the presentation with a toolkit of strategies and useful free websites to aid in lesson plan development during the pandemic.

She holds New York State certificates in teaching Mandarin and teaching English as a second language. Originally from Jiangsu, China, Kai is also an actor and project manager at New York Mandarin Playback Theatre. She likes to spend her free time in improv acting, outdoor sports, volunteering, self-growth, and exploring more of New York City, her dream city.
