This series replaces the Financial Aid Workshop originally scheduled for April 22 at Mohonk Mountain House as part of the Admissions and Placement Conference.

Alisa Evans, Sheila Hicks-Rotella, and colleagues will lead a series of financial aid eSeminar to support NYS independent school financial aid professionals facing the exceptional challenges of the COVID-19 Pandemic. As a financial aid profession, your school's families and your colleagues will look to you to be the voice of knowledge, guidance, and support through the financial difficulties of this time. Join us for all or some of the sessions for helpful tools and tips for this brave new world and to discuss the important questions that you be asking to help prepare your school leadership. Sheila Hicks-Rotella is completing her tenth year at Riverdale Country School where she is the Director of Financial Aid and Associate Director of Middle and Upper School Admission. Before earning her Master's degree in School Leadership she held many roles on the admissions and diversity teams at The Bush School in Seattle, including Assistant Director of Admissions for the Lower School. Sheila's passion for demystifying the admission and financial aid processes for families was first sparked when she worked in the admissions office at Dartmouth College as an undergraduate. 


Alisa Evans
 has spent almost 20 years working with independent schools and higher education institutions on programs and tools designed to provide every child with an equal opportunity to receive an excellent education. During that time, she has developed methodologies, data analysis tools and best practices that have helped schools and organizations remain sustainable. She’s a regular presenter on trends at local, regional and national conferences and is also available to work one-on-one with your school.
