 Authentic Assessment Using Digital Tools

Seth O'Bryan, Harley School

Target Audience: Teachers of all subjects, grades 7-12

This session will explore how digital tools such as Padlet and Book Creator can be used to create authentic, student-directed assessment. While we will explain the tools, most of the presentation will focus on the ways in which they both support student growth and evaluation. Strategies for designing and implementing learner- centered assessments will be key takeaways. Resources for continued learning beyond the webinar will be shared.

Seth O’Bryan is the co-coordinator of the fairly new capstone program at Harley.  At Harley, he is the director of the Commons, a facility with programs devoted to explorations in sustainability and student leadership.  Seth and the Commons team aims to expand their capstone program and learn more about creating authentic and experiential-based curriculum that leave a lasting impact on student learning.

NYSAIS member schools - $25.00
