What NYSAIS accreditation means to a parent:
  • NYSAIS (a professional, educational authority) assures that the school is doing what it says it’s doing and its educational program is aligned with the its stated mission and culture.
  • The school undergoes a thorough reflection and evaluation of all aspects of its educational program, governance structure, communications, health and safety standards and business practices, not on a one-time basis, but on a routine and on-going basis.
  • Through this cycle of accreditation, a school examines its strengths and challenges and uses intense self-reflection and analysis to track its achievements and identify its challenges.
  • An on-site team of educators examines the school and makes recommendations; through NYSAIS the school is held accountable to addressing these recommendations and making improvements.
