Cancellation policy for all NYSAIS events **Updated for COVID-19 Digital Resources**
Attendance eligibility: Attendance during conference lectures, sessions, breakouts, and meetings is strictly limited to those attendees who are currently employed at schools. Consultants, companies, firms, etc. engaged by schools are not employees of schools and may attend conferences in the capacity of "Exhibitor" or "Sponsor" at select events.
REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS:
Online Events:
Refunds are currently on a case-by-case review, but typically cannot be granted as the attendees will be sent Zoom links automatically. We are happy to substitute name(s) for the paid registration(s). If the attendee cannot participate in real time, most events are recorded and all attendees registered prior to each deadline (1 hour before the start of the event) will receive any recordings and presentation materials, barring confidentiality or quality issues. Please check on the recording status prior to registering, if there is any doubt of attendance.
Please send emailed requests to suzanne@nysais.org and maria@nysais.org. Telephone requests WILL NOT be honored
Refunds are at the discretion of NYSAIS staff.
In-person Events:
COVID-19 POLICIES:
Mohonk Mountain House currently requires indoor masking. Their policies are regularly updated and available here: https://www.mohonk.com/health-
safety/
NYSAIS: For all in-person events, NYSAIS will be requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination upon conference registration (at the name badge table).
Silver Level Exhibiting Tables: Within 10 days of the scheduled showcase, refunds are not available unless the venue cancels. Upper Level Sponsoring table cancelations are not available within 10 days of the event. Transfers to another event may be available if the event is not sold out.
CANCELLATION POLICIES:
Mohonk Mountain House: Mohonk Mountain House will refund any deposits made for rooms at conferences due to COVID-related reasons up to 24 hours before the start of the event.
- NYSAIS: NYSAIS will refund conference fees to attendees who communicate with NYSAIS (maria@nysais.org) due to COVID-related reasons at least 48 hours before the start of the conference. We can switch a registration from in-person to remote, too.
Weather-related cancellations:
In the event of inclement weather affecting the venue for in-person events, NYSAIS will not cancel the event unless the venue closes. Unless the conference or workshop is officially canceled, refunds will not be granted.
Upon cancellation of any registration, do be sure to also cancel any hotel arrangements. Hotel, meals, and overnight reservations are not the responsibility of NYSAIS.
