NYSAIS enjoys a collaboration with the Hybrid Learning Consortium (HLC). This partnership allows NYSAIS member schools to easily implement an online learning program into their current curriculum while:
- Allowing them to expand their current course offerings
- Providing them with an online curricular presence at a highly competitive rate
- Connecting faculty and students with faculty and students in a growing collaborative of school through the world
- Assisting faculty at NYSAIS schools with the professional development needed to develop the expertise needed to create and teach online synchronous-asynchronous courses
The Hybrid Learning Consortium
The Hybrid Learning Consortium (HLC), founded by The Barstow School in Kansas City, Missouri, has created a globalized collective of independent schools. HLC supports schools and faculty in navigating both the innovations and the challenges in the digital world. HLC provides online courses built by member schools and facilitates freedom of content, collaboration, and scheduling. The HLC brings together schools, teachers and students from around the world with the shared vision to provide best practices of diverse, in-depth learning. Courses in the HLC are designed to complement courses that are offered by member schools. HLC's Course Catalog is updated regularly with those classes offered each semester, as well as though that are by special request.
