Established in 1925, The Beekman School is a top private school for grades 9 through 12 located in midtown Manhattan. We deliver a traditional college preparatory program characterized by strong academic standards while maintaining the flexibility necessary to meet individual needs. Our objective is to provide students with the tools and the confidence required to succeed in high school and in life.

Beekman is the first New York City school to specialize in personalized learning and continues to be its best. To that end, we provide flexible scheduling, year-round rolling admissions, class sizes of no more than 10 students, and the option of one-on-one instruction and customized courses through The Tutoring School. Beekman is tailored to nurture the development of each individual student.

Despite our small size, we have a diverse student body with young men and women from all walks of life and all parts of the world. Beekman students play an active role in shaping their education, which helps to instill in them a sense of commitment and responsibility. They interact on a daily basis with an exceptional faculty that they come to know on a first-name basis. And when they graduate, they leave not only with a solid academic foundation, but with a keen sense of what lies ahead.

The Beekman School’s mission is to provide a differentiated curriculum that unites flexibility and compassion in a safe yet challenging environment.  Our supportive educators maintain a mutually respectful, multi-cultural setting that is committed to the dignity and worth of all students as they are guided into becoming responsible citizens, independent thinkers, and conscientious contributors to society.  Our community of scholars crafts a foundation of knowledge that celebrates the individual and cultivates a lifelong love of learning.
