This year’s Job Fair will be in person. Each registered school will receive a table to inform candidates about their school, list vacancies, and chat with candidates.

FAQ’s

When can we access candidate resumes?

Access to the online pre-registered candidate résumés database will begin in mid-February.

The contact person, designated as the attendee during registration, will receive the information about registering for an account to access the candidate database and is responsible for distributing that information to the members of their school who share in the hiring responsibilities.

Resumés are cross-referenced by discipline/ administrative interest, grade level, and geographic preference.

Schools are responsible for researching the resumés and printing them if desired.

These files will be available online until May 15.

What Will Be Provided to Schools

Each registered school will be provided with:

  1. A table
  2. Two chairs
  3. Two box lunches
  4. One 8.5×11 acrylic sign holder to post jobs on their table

Each school should bring:

  1. Tablecloth
  2. School literature 
  3. Photographs 
  4. Hand-outs
  5. Printed list of expected job openings that you are looking to fill at the job fair
  6. Job Postings slips filled out with any expected openings

Please DO NOT send anything in advance to the school. All materials should be brought with you.

NYSAIS sponsors and/or underwrites advertisements on many different platforms to try to attract candidates to the job fair to meet with schools, including paid advertisements on Indeed, Linkedin, and other social media sites. However, you can help! please help us recruit candidates! Add a listing on your ‘career opportunities’ page or post a message about your school’s upcoming attendance at the NYSAIS Job Fair to Promote Diversity on any social media channels you use. If you use the hashtag #NYSAISDiversityJobFair we will help amplify your message. Here are a couple of sample posts that you can use on social media.

The NYSAIS Job Fair to Promote Diversity designed to increase the # of teachers and administrators of color within our schools is THE premier opportunity to explore, network, and pursue a meaningful career at our institution. Hosting a virtual event means candidates from all regions will be drawn to our event. We invite you to learn about us through the free hosted webinars and to pre-register for the Job Fair at www.nysais.org/job-fair.

For safety and space reasons, representative attendance is limited to two attendees per table.

All schools participating in the job fair should be sure to post their available positions in the job fair job board and to review the candidate database. Information regarding posting available jobs was included in your confirmation message when you purchased your table. Please refer to this email (sent to the registrant) for your link and password.
